2013 is a big year for our little town because it marks Clinton’s 350th year. Community-wide celebrations will be had until 2014, beginning with The Launch on February 2nd.
The Launch, an evening of music, dance and celebration, will be the kick-off event for Clinton’s 350th festivities. In the theme of “Its Great We Can Gather”, The Launch offers an adults-only evening of dining and wining with fellow Clintonites. The tickets are $75 each (2 free with a $350 donation to Clinton 350 committee). This fancy evening, held in the newly renovated auditorium at Town Hall, will surely set the tone for the upcoming opportunities for our community to get involved, gather and celebrate together this year!
The plans for the year include:
- The Launch (February 2, 2013)
- Memorial Day Parade & Community PiCnic
- Heritage Days (August 31-September 1, 2013)*
- Community Spirit Days (late October 2013)*
- Last Night (December 2013)
*A lot of manpower is needed to pull off the great events planned for Heritage Days and Community Spirit Days! If you are part of a volunteer or civic group that would like to chair an event – such as “Once Upon a Time in Clinton”, a vignette walking tour along Main St. for Heritage Days organized by Laura Antansio and Kidz Connection.
