Clinton is blessed to have had the huge heart and mind of Andrea Kaye for the last 11 years. Andrea has worked for both the original Task Force and Clinton Youth and Family Services, providing her knowledge and guidance to hundreds, if not thousands, of Clinton families.

Name: Andrea Kaye
Business/School: Clinton Youth & Family Services since January 2002
How are you a partner in community? I have been involved in the First Selectman’s Task Force since 2002 when I was the Prevention Coordinator on the Drug Free Communities Grant. In 2005 the program coordinator position opened up to do positive youth development programs and I moved into that job, staying involved in the Task Force. I am currently on the PiC Pro-Action committee which dovetails beautifully with my current responsibilities as program coordinator.
Why do you feel it is important to get involved? I really believe in the old African folk saying “it takes a village…” I love working in the prevention field and making Clinton a better place for young people to grow up…quite different from my career as a marriage family therapist for 25 years! I totally subscribe to the 40 Developmental Assets and think of myself as an asset builder to the youth of Clinton. I love my job, working with residents young and not so young.
What do you hope to contribute or accomplish? Continue and support the mission of PiC and the Youth & Family Service Bureau. I hope to enhance and build on what PiC is doing and continue building assets in the youth of Clinton.
If Ben & Jerry’s were to name an ice cream after you what would it be called?
Peace & Blessings
