8 Morgan REACT members travelled to Ohio Dominican University in June to attend the International Youth to Youth substance use prevention conference. Along with 500 other students from across the US and some international locations such as the Caribbean islands, our students learned about the dangers of substance use, mental health and coping skills, leadership within their communities, as well as peer influence. Students took part in large presentations and small workshops, and each had a family group to process what they were learning with. There was a dance, swimming, games and many opportunities for socializing and meeting new friends.
