In the summer of 2021, Morgan REACT students embarked on an outdoor adventure to build leadership skills, strengthen mental health, and learn a new approach to substance use prevention.
After a year hiatus due to Covid, Morgan REACT's Haunted Hallways returned with new members, new scares and a new pathway through the school. Recreating horror films such as It by Stephen King, the Conjuring, Nightmare on Elm St, and Slenderman, Haunted Hallways brought a crowd of roughly 375 people out on Mischief Night 2021.
REACT's annual fund raiser, Haunted Hallways, had to be put on pause last year due to Covid restrictions. With Covid guidelines in place, Morgan REACT members are excitedly planning for the 2021 event, which will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM on Saturday October 30 at Morgan. REACT members have plenty of opportunities to develop as leaders — by taking the lead on REACT events, serving on the PiC coalition, volunteering with other collaborating community groups, attending national conferences that focus on eliminating underage substance use, and mentoring the REACT clubs at Jared Eliot Middle School. and more.
